Feedback on D.R.

Anyone ever been to Melia Caribe Tropical Hotel, Punta Cana D.R.? If so can you share your experience? If you feel more comfortable with FM, feel free to drop me a line

I went there about 3 years ago...the hotel grounds were beautiful, very nice accommodations and feet from the water. The food was pretty bad though, I think we ate in almost all of the seven restaurants they have, all of which specialized in different food from around the globe, and not even the American restaurant was too good. There was a place they had open for a few hours for lunch everyday that was okay though. To be honest though I've heard from a few people that food at any of the hotels in D.R. really isn't great. I guess it's just not a place you go to for the food. Aside from that it was a great vacation.
