First Dance Question. Are You Asking Others to Join In?

Are you dancing your first dance all the way through by themselves, or are you inviting others to come up and join you?

no, we are dancing by ourselves. Then we are doing a veil dance, which is where the family & BP make a circle around us & drop a very large veil over our heads, then they split off into pairs & dance with each other, then others are invited to join in .

Our first dance is just us. then we are having the traditional Irish wedding song & everyone will join in.

Our first dance, the bridal party joined in and then we opened the floor to everyone else. Then after we cut the cake, we had a spotlight dance where it was just me and DH.

We'll be having others join in mainly because my FI feels uncomfortable dancing alone for 4 or 5 minutes. Regarless of who is on the dance floor I'm sure we'll still feel we are 'alone' in our own special world.

I am in the same boat as Karn. FH would DIE if he to have the spotlight on him for the WHOLE song. We will dance 1/2 of it alone and then have others join in. There will be a second song for people to dance slow to as well.

We are going to start the dance, then have the BP and parents join us and than open the floor to guests.

our DJ suggested two dances
oNE was our first which he called our spotlight dance and said we would do that all by ourselves

then he played from this moment and invited all the guests, so we had two songs, but only one which was all for us

our first dance was by ourselves - which we planned. Then the DJ announced that my DH wanted to dedicate the next song to me (it was Billy Joel's SHe's Got A Way), here, we invited everyone out to the floor
