Flower Budget - suggestions??
I have a tight budget for flowers and I'm undecided if I want to even have flower CP's because I don't want to spend a lot on flowers so I may go the candle route for CP's. My colors are pink and brown and I would like to spend no morethen $2000 on all the flowers.
Roughly what I would need:
1. Minimum of 25 Centerpieces
2. 8 bouquets - 7 bridesmaids and one bride
3. 11 boutinerries (sp?) - 7 groomsmen, 1 groom, 2 fathers and 1 ring bearer
4. 6 corsages - 2 mothers and 4 more (readers, godmothers)
5. Throw away bouquet
We don't plan on doing any church flowers or any dais (sweetheart) table flowers at the hall. I'm open to any flowers except carnations and I'm thinking light pinks for the girls bouquets and then a darker pink for mine. And for the Centerpieces any mixtures of pinks. I know I have a tight budget but I'm open to anything and everything. I would like very low and simple centerpieces so I'm hoping that can save me some money - I'm thinking $20-$25 per centerpiece (give or take a little) if that is even feasible.
I'm going to set up an appt. with Designs by Rose because she said she can work within my budget...but does any one else have any suggestions as to florists I can check out?

Re: Flower Budget - suggestions??
Since I booked Designs By Rose and only looked at one other place which gave me a quote (for the same amount of flowers) that was $700 more. I say Designs by Rose is your best best. They are wonderful to work with!!!!

You can do it sweetie!I've even seen them do the small glass bowls...with the roses..some floating candles, and pillar candles on the outside of the bowl...simple,, yet elegant and romantic and those candles do the job.
Remember(not including carnations) roses are typically the most cost effective flower, and are very traditional and pretty too.
You can do it sweetie, good luck

Check out Flower Barn. I am paying $2,400 for just a little less then what you need. But I have big 3 piece centerpieces. Mike is one of the oweners and he will work with you. Try them out.

How funny is that. I really thought I was losing it. However I think I will still take a mental health day tomorrow.

Re: Flower Budget - suggestions??
IMO since Floral Terrace has such a spectacular ceiling in the ballroom, flowers would be too much. I would definitely go with just candles as my centerpieces. You could get everything else for under 1,000.Welcome New Vendors
