font (envelopes vs. invitations)

should the font type on your envelopes match the font on the actual invitation? or does it not matter?

(i think i'd rather do a fancier font on my envelopes but the return address is already preprinted on my envelopes and it's in the invitation font type...)

Re: font

The proper way is to handwrite them, so I don't think it really matters. I actually used two different fonts on my envelopes. One for the name and another for the address. I broke all the rules

Re: font (envelopes vs. invitations)

we are also doing laser calligraphy...

just as an aside.. I am not doing this, but have you guys ever heard of doing labels on the outer envelope? asking for a friend of mine that wants to do this. I told her no.. but she wants to do this.

TIA

Re: font (envelopes vs. invitations)

This was actually an issue for me too. The font did not match exactly, but it complimented it well, we used Edwardian script bold for the envelopes (inner and outer).

Re: font (envelopes vs. invitations)

We are using the same font for pur envelopes as the invites. We had our return address printed on the envelopes and thought it would go well together.
