Most people only get one shower and that's for your first. I've never been to a shower for someones second.

Ive heard of showers when the babies are spaced out by about 10 or 15 yrs...but otherwise just for the 1st baby

my best friend did not have a shower, but I think her family got all the things she needed for her boy since her first was a girl

i always thought it was a no, unless there was a big difference between thekids. however, my dad and his mil threw my stepmother another shower for baby #2 and the kids are a year and a hlaf apart. i don't agree with it, but to each his own.

My kids are 4 years apart and I didn't have a 2nd shower, there really isn't a need for a shower for the 2nd child, you have everything already.

I didnt have a second shower. My kids are 21 mths apart so I really didnt 'need' anything anyway but I'd be embarrassed to have another after people were so generous once already. My Mom & SIL did take me out to brunch as a little shower thing and gave me a few goodies which was really nice.

Depending on the sex of the baby I think 2nd timers should re-register... Most family and friends will get you gifts anyway.. Why not what you like? JMHO...

I have a boy, if we get preggo and find out we are having a girl- EVERYTHING I have is blue.. and or red/denim... Clothes, baby bags, curtains, changing pad covers.. EVERYTHING... I would re-register.

I am not.

I think this is the time it's great that we didn't find out the sex because I have quite a bit of newborn-6 month neutral clothes. Plus we did the nursery neutral.

Ok thats what I thought! My mother and aunt insist that I have another shower for baby #2 because it's not fair for the 2nd baby to have all handyme downs! How crazy is that~!

Nancy, Congrats! Do you know the sex? Andrew is really big and no longer a baby :(. I'm due with my 2nd in March, they should be 24 months apart.
