Freaking out!!!! Pls. show me pics of your direction cards....

I kind of waited longer than I should have to get my invites done. I am bringing my envelopes today to get the addresses done and it will take about a week. My RSVP date is May 10th so i dont have time to get maps done and I am clueless on how to make direction cards. My hall gave me one, but I need to make one for the church and the hotel. My church doesnt give me one. Can I put dirctions to the church on one side and the hotel on the other? Or is that tacky? I dont want to have 3 inserts. I dont even know how to make a map. Oh god....

Re: Freaking out!!!!

Maybe you can say something like 'Please visit our wedding website if you need directions' and give them your wedding website address and have links to 'click here for directions' and have map-quest maps for them??

OK, you should take a deep breath first. Don't worry, it will be fine. I think if you don't have time to do maps, directions to the church on one side and directions to the hotel on the other are perfectly fine. All you have to do is just mapquest the directions and copy them onto a Word document, take them to Kinko's or another place like that and see if they can shrink it into a size that you need for your invitations.

Re: Freaking out!!!!

I was also going to suggest going on MapQuest and getting the directions and maps and printing them out and then going to Kinko's (or any other printing place) and have them shrink it for you.

And I definitely do not see anything wrong with putting directions to the church on one side, and directions to the hotel on another side.

You don't need to bother with a map. I made one because I think it does help clarify written directions. But if you Mapquest directions for all your places, and then format them in Word (maybe with a pretty font or something to match the invite), and then print them on a paper similar to your invite, it shouldn't be that much hassle.

Good luck!

Re: Freaking out!!!! Pls. show me pics of your direction cards....

Definitely do not include a map at this point...it's not a big deal - honestly. I would suggest that you call the church and the hotel and have them fax you a copy of their directions so that you can type something up using those. My church was able to fax direction cards that past brides have used and that was really helpful.

Also, I've been to plenty of weddings where the couple didn't include direction cards to the church and it was perfectly fine.
