Girls debating on using table cameras- Read This
Ok, I was very skeptical about using them because so many people said they were a waste. So, I went and bought cheap cameras at Staples, when they were on sale for 97 cents. I figured what do I have to lose. Well, we got the first batch back a few weeks ago and they were great. Yeah there were a lot of dark ones, but they were still great and the photo place said they would help me lighten them and make them look better. Well, I went today and picked up the second batch and they were even better. So many great shots and pics of people that the photographer didn't get. There are also pics of the last dance, where everyone crowded on the dancefloor around DH and I and it is absolutely the best picture, it has everyone and just shows what an awesome time everyone had. The photographer had left by that point, so I am so grateful I had those table cameras, because I would have never remembered that and now I have another memory captured. So, what I am trying to say is, there are a lot of dark pics, but the great pics out weigh the bad ones and for $200 of developing, I have every single moment and person that was at my wedding on film having an awesome time . So if you are on the fence about getting them, I definiteley recommend it. We have so many memories captured that the photographer missed!! I definiteley think it was money well spent!!!

thank you! i was 75% for them but still unsure. how many cameras did you have altogether? did you get double prints? did you develop them at a shop or a place like cvs?

Re: Girls debating on using table cameras- Read This
I had one camera on each table (19 tables) and I put five cameras on the kids table!! I got double prints on them all. The place I went to actually gave me the second set free because I had so many. I took them to a 1 hour photo in East Meadow. All total for actually 26 cameras(we had some from the HM, and some from the morning of the wedding at the house) it came out to $225 with tax and second set!! So, If you can wait to get them back and do them with regular 3 day developing, it will actually be cheaper.

I got the same ones from Staples for 97 cents. Did you do anything to decorate them?

We were thinking of buying the kodak ones and just putting them out amoungst the guests. I really want those candid behind the scenes moments.

i used table cameras and got some great pics out of them....and Target sells 'wedding packs' - the cameras come in B&W and color and are decorated with roses.

A friend of mine used to do developing at Genovese and rarely did she see decent quality pictures. We still would like to have disposable cameras available but are thinking instead of putting them on each table and hoping the right people will take the pictures, we might select 10 responsible guests and ask them to take the pictures and pass the camera around with verbal instructions to put on the flash and take shots within a 10 foot range. Then this person will be asked to collect it at the end of the wedding.Has anyone seen anything like this done, or thought about it?
Do you know if Staples runs this sale often? Do they ever offer coupons at Staples?

I'm so excited...I bought the staples ones (although I missed the sale...I paid $2.99/each). I also got B&W ones at Target. I am going to put one color and one B&W on each table.I know BJ's and Costco's does 1 hour photo for the same price as some of the stores do for regular developing (2-3 days). That's where I will take mine when done.

Has anyone been able to find cameras that have ~15 exposures rather than 27?My brother had the table cameras but it was kind of a waste since no one finished the rolls....

I had 27 exposures but you only pay for what was taken, not all 27 if only 10 were used.
