Going on a trip to Cape Cod/Hyannis, Ma any suggestions?

My DH is going to Hyannis for the rest of his training next week for 4 days and I am tagging along with him. He will be working mostly early mornings and I am going to venture out alone. So any suggestions on what to see, tours, .....eat, etc? I am so excited! I've been to Boston but never to Hyannis or Cape Cod!

there a many cute little shops- and the beaches are pretty

also if you have time try to hit a whale watching trip - those are great!
