I am looking for someone to do my make-up - how did you hear about her and do you know anyone who has used her? What did they say...?

I know a few people who have used and said she was great. She will come to your house the day of the wedding and do you hair and makeup. She will stay with you until you go into the reception. She stays with you while you take pictures. I think she is about $275. You can do a consultation before hand. If you are interested you should call her. She books fast. My wedding is a year away and she is booked. You can also call Elena, 516-484-8473 if Pauline is booked.

I used Pauline two years ago for my sisters wedding and she was fantastic! She did a great job with both hair and makeup and it was especially great to have her there throughout the day touching us up for pictures and the reception... this way we looked beautiful the whole day! She did such a great job that I booked her for my April 2001 wedding without even going for a trial.

There use to be a bunch of listings but since the new format they are gone. I'm hoping LIWeddings gets them back soon. I called Elena and spoke to her. I am going to try a consultation with her and see if I like what she does. However, that won't be for some time.

Will Pauline and/or Elaina do both the brides and the maids for 275? Or does that just cover the bride?

If we are talking about the same makeup lady named Elena- I used her for my wedding in Nov. and was very happy that I did so. She did my hair and make-up, my mother's and sister's as well as one of my bridesmaids. She came to my house and stayed with me the entire day for touch-ups etc. I have to say that it was the best investment of all the money we spent!

Thanks. That makes me feel better. She I have only heard about Pauline. The $275 is for the bride only. Bridemaids and others are $40 for hair and $40 for makeup. I initially thought $275 is alot but when you compare it to having to go to a shop it is a good price. She stays with you to retouch your makeup.

Future Brides!, I have a great hair and makeup person. Patti and Angela do great updo`s and have a lot of experience w/ headpieces. they have even fixed bridal headpieces because some of the bridal salons sew them incorrectly! Secondly, the makeup artist is Louisa Agate. She was in Newsday on March 5. I was interviewed for the article so if you brides have any questions, do not hesitate to e-mail me @ TAD4700@aol.com. The airbrush makeup does not come off your face, even if you cry!!! you have to literally wash the makeup off your face. It is the best makeup!, and Louisa is phenomenal.
