I hate the NYC Office of the City Clerk! Where is y marriage cert?!?!It is SO frustrating dealing with them! My certificate is still not here, and there is only an automated message when I call their #. Does anyone have a # with PEOPLE who answer it?

The clerk this time wouldn't discuss stuff over the phone b/c of "confidentialtiy" but said that we may have to have the witnesses come in in person. However, my witness/MOH lives in Massachusetts!!!! I'm SO upset, and I'm pretty upset about the Rabbi, when he got the letter, he did NOTHING about it. If I got a letter regaring a paying client, regarding something that I had potentially schrewed up, I would investigate, not just leave it. GRRRR! | |||

Where is y marriage cert?!?!They are so irresponsible over there.....I JUST got my certificate a few days ago (I was married Oct 15!!)...and I had to call them to see where it was!! They apparently were holding it b/c they couldn't read the rabbi's handwriting, but yet never bothered to CALL ME about it!!!!!!!!!! | |||

Re: I hate the NYC Office of the City Clerk! Where is y marriage cert?!?!I have written this on other posts. But it took me 8 whole weeks before I got my certificate in the mail. My DH went to the city clerk in the Bronx to inquire around week 6 and he was told that they are very behind and the process can take anywhere between 8 to 9 even 10 weeks before you receive your certificate. We got ours on our 2 month anniversary. So believe me, I understand your pain and concern. But it will come soon. |
