I dont like bustles either, but it seems that all the pictures Ive seen of dresses, they look like they have to be bustled, they dont look like any of them have detachable trains. How does this work!??!!?

I tried on an Eve of Milady dress with a detachable train. It was gorgeous (and lighter once the train was off!)

I looked at basically every designer from the knot, pictures from magazines, etc. What kind are you getting that has a detachable train?

Demetrios makes a bunch of gowns with detachable trains and so does David's Bridal. Another option is to just carry the train by the loop but it can get heavy after awhile.

Re: Instead if bustling your dress, is there a such thing as
My sister had a detachable train on and Eve of Milady gown. It was better than 100 pins and all the wieght, but it is not easy to attach and detach, my sister's came slightly detached at the ceremony, and I had some time getting it to stay on again, so make sure you have pins with you, even if it is a detachable train, all it's kept on with are hooks and eyes and buttons.

May gowns come w/ detachable trains - When you go dress hunting, just be sure to let the woman know you DON'T want a bustle !
