Invisible pen for invites...
Does anyone know where I can get an invisible pen and a blacklight to write on the back of the response cards?

Re: Invisible pen for invites...
what exactly are you looking to write? My FH and I just very lighted penciled a number in the corner on the back of the response card and then made a coordinating list. Worked great, FH would open the RSVP and look at the number first to try to guess who it was

Re: Invisible pen for invites...
I used an idea from another LIW bride- she said to use a dark pen (I used a thin Sharpie marker) and write the # in the area where the stamp goes- when you look through the back, you can see the # but your guests won't.

I ordered an invisible pen and it worked out great. I was just really paranoid that certain guests would look for the pencil mark, you know? For about $8, I got a pen and blacklight from Steve Spangler Science. If you do a Google search, you'll find the site. Good luck

ETA: Here's the site: Invisible Pen

You assign each guest on your guest list a number. You put this number somewhere on the RSVP card. This way, if someone sends back their RSVP without a name or if they send it back Mr. & Mrs. Smith with no first name (and you have 3 other Mr. & Mrs. Smiths), you can tell who sent it

Re: Invisible pen for invites...
I was thinking of putting the guest's initials instead of using numbers. Of course, there is no guarantee that 2 people won't have the same intitials, but I am sure that I can still figure out who it is if I look at initials and the postmark city on the response cards. I'd just hate to have guests see what 'number' they are.I am not sure if I will use pencil or invisible ink.

Thank you for the info!! At first I was just going to go with the pencil and not worry about it, but then I realized when I get invites in the mail, I always turn it over to see what number I am....and I don't want my guests to do that..

Re: Invisible pen for invites...
I used a pencil and just made it very small. I don't think people check to see what 'number' they are. The only reason we check is b/c we are doing it to!

Oops, I used pencil! I would never even think to look on the back. In my case they are numbered in alphabetical order to keep it easy.
