Invitation Addressing - advice please!

Ok, here is my dilemma:

I have already sent out all my invitations. I had them hand addressed by a good friend who lives in NJ, and they looked great.

My parents (who live out of the country) forgot a very important person who they want to invite to the wedding (that person lives here in NY).

The problem is that my friend who addressed my envelopes has gone on vacation for 3 weeks! I have no idea who I could ask to address this one invite for me. Do I hand write it (I am not a neat writer at all!!), or do I search for someone here on LI?

Any recommendations would be GREATLY appreciated, as I need to send this invite asap!

TIA!

Re: Invitation Addressing - advice please!

I would hand write the invite.

It is unlikely that any two people will actually compare the envelopes!

Re: Invitation Addressing - advice please!

I would handwrite it b/c I am not sure you will find a person to do 1 invite. The other option is to run it through the computer & use a fancy font.

Re: Invitation Addressing - advice please!

I think if it is one invite, either you do it, or run it through your printer.

Unless you have a local friend that has nicer handwriting. I don't think its a big deal for one.

Re: Invitation Addressing - advice please!

Ok thanks! I wanted to be sure that handwriting it myself (or printing it) would be a major faux-pas!

Re: Invitation Addressing - advice please!

Hand writing, asking a co-worker with a friend with a nice hand writing is the best possible scenario. Second best would be runing the actual envelope through the printer. Third (and I don't recommend it) is printing it on a label.
