Is anyone going to Costa Rica on their HM?

Any recommendations on where to stay? Is it safe in all areas, or only one side?

I can't answer any of your questions, but Costa Rica is in the running for us. NYTimes did an article on it somewhat recently so if you run a search for it, I'm sure you can find it.

we are going to costa rica,and dividing our time between the beach, the volcano, and the cloud forest. we have been to the caribbean so many times, that it sounds like a great change. i hear that traveling is a bit rough, so we had our travel agent arrange a driver for us between hotels. FM if you want any more info!

hi! I'm going this winter for holiday! I'm staying at the Occidental Grand Papagayo, it came highly recommended after the four seasons (it was already sold out when i booked).
Also, my friend just spent a month there and had no problems, she said the locals are very nice.
Also, www.travelland.com has great specials/packages!
