Is It Normal For Proofs to Have the Photographers name across Them??? Pls. Help
On our Enangagement pics, the photographer had his name across all the proofs. I do not want all my ewedding proofs to be like that, because then they are all a waste. Im meeting with him today at 6 and want to confront him on this, i had no idea this was something to worry about when i booked him over a year ago! What should i say to him

This is very common, so that the bride cannot reproduce the pictures on their own by scanning and what not. Not all photographers do this, however.

Ours didn't, but it is common.Ask about the buying the negatives or if they can be thrown in to your package. They shouldn't have the name across them.

They do that so you can;t repro them but maybe if you're paying for the proofs they can amke you a set w.o the name. Good luck! Thanks for bringing it up. We all have to remember to ask our photographers about this!

I had it in my contract that they would put the name on the back.

It is common and annoying - that way you cant use your proofs or give them away, you have to pay him to make copies. This is why I really wanted digital photos because I know it has happened to friends in the past and they were unhappy with it. Good luck

any time i have see nproofs for anything the name is on the frontthey want you to buy the pics from them and not take them out and reporoduce them

i think my photographer puts the name underneath the picture on the proofs.....our e-pics were digital so it wasnt an issue... but ive heard of digital albums where you cant save them but you have them on cd...

Yes it is normal for some photographers to stamp their names somewhere on the front of the proof. It was something I took into account when looking at photographers. Mine did not - and there are a number out there that do not stamp their name on there others do.
