Hi it is so great to see a real bride in this dress, you look gorgeous in it!!! I went to Priscilla and fell in love with this dress and they took my measurements and said I was a size 2, I am a size 0-2 in street clothes and have the same body type as you. Given that the dress is over my budget I had to think about it but nothing compares so I was wondering 1) are you thinking of selling your dress??? and 2) If no, then what size did you order???

I believe they ordered me a size 4-but I needed a lot of alterations. AND...I've never really thought about selling it! To be honest with you, I still have to bring it to the cleaner!!! I don't think that I'm ready to sell it yet-even though the $$$$ would be nice since it was so $$$$$$. I will talk this over with my family and get back to you!

Did you have to get a hollow to hem on this dress??? They are charging $300 extra bucks for this and I am not sure if it is really needed. Now I am extremely over budget.

Hey...what's a hollow! I had a family member that works at a bridal salon do my alterations and she charged me 350 total!!!! I also did a French bustle with and she made the sash into a huge bow (just a tip!) unfortunately I don't have a good pic of this

The Priscilla of Boston store said since I am so short, 5'2, that I would need to get a hollow to hem when I buy the dress. A hollow to hem is when they take your measurements from your neck down to the legnth of your shoes, and they make the dress to those exact measurements, then the dress is a custom fit and no alternations will be needed for the hem. Supposedly I need this because where the beading on the hip start needs to be proportianate to the length of my body. They said eventhough if I order a size 2 or 4 that the beading will still be too low on my hips and will not look right cause I'm short. If I don't have to get it I rather not since its extra money, but I dont want to spend all this money on a dress and it not look right. From your pictures where the beading on the hips start looks perfect not to low and not to high. I am not sure what to do?? During your search for your wedding dress, did you find any places that offered a better price than Priscilla of Boston????

Also, how long did it take to get your dress in???

Sorry for all these questions your the only bride I found that wore this dress.

Well, they did take my measurments before they ordered my dress and said this was so they can customize it a little, but I still needed alterations after this (although, I did not need length alterations in the torso area, i just needed it taken in) I also wanted the drop waist look, so I believe that the beading on the waist fell at about my hip area, maybe a little lower???). Also, I bought my dress at the Wedding Salon during a trunk show so it was discounted a little bit. FM me for prize details. Lastly, I had my dress by August (it took only a few months maybe 2-3). I didn't start doing alterations until 1 month before my wedding and had the Wedding Salon store it for me for about a month and 1/2.

Never hesitate to ask me anything and I will try to answer as quickly as possible!!! I love to be a help!
