July 4th weekend brides
I am ordering my invites next week. I was wondering when you are sending out the invitations, and what date you are making for the RSVP. Thanks everyone!

July 4th weekend brides
I was thinking of having them mailed by April 4th and asking for responses by June 4th. One reason, it is a Thursday and the other being it is a holiday people will go away for. With 3 months before, that should be reasonable for family to know. Plus the A list B list thing, invite all FAMILY first, then I can add work friends after the fact!! Just a benefit for me because of the large group I work with!!

My hotel will only hold the blocked rooms until June 3rd, so I figured if guest get the invites a month before that date it should be enough time for them to call and book a room. So I'll probably send them towards the end of April and want an RSVP by the middle of June.

I'm getting married July 4, 2003. Can I ask if any of you had problems with vendors not working on July 4th since it's a holiday?

Dear July 4th Brides - I'm getting married on July 4th of this year and booking vendors was not a problem for me. Most of them are willing to work with you not to mention the fact that they know that they will have to work on most holidays. I do however suggest that you book the vendors as far in advance as possible, like at the 1 year to 9 months mark. If you have any questions about booking vendors or which vendors I used, feel free to contact me at [email protected] Best of luck to all! vickfl77

Vickyfl77.. Invites..
I actually had an image in my head of what I wanted and found it by accident in Kinkos of all places! It is a thinner card stock then most invites I guess, but I am not looking for ultra formal anyway. It is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 (regular invite size) with all fireworks, the border is almost black with the fireworks in VERY vivid colors, the center portion is very light with the fireworks. Kinkos will charge a set up fee and it will cost me about $120 for 100 invites. I will do my own response cards (they match but are 1/2 the size and they are sold in the 4up style, so I will print and cut them)and envelopes. Found silver lined ones in Staples, and I think I will forgo an inner envelope.Welcome New Vendors
