Just wanted to tell you girls

When I was talking about invites with my DOC she mentioned that the crystals we were talking about would lay flat-so they wouldn't get caught in any machines. I mentioned hand cancelling and she told me that it's a scam! She said that they will do it at the post office where you drop them off, but then when they go to different towns they will put them through the machines! It made me so sad. Did anyone else hear that?

I'm not sure what 'hand cancelling' is but I am not doing any crystals or whachamacallits on my invites and sending it out regular mail w the machines stamping them all..Most of my guests will end up throwing the invites out after the wedding anyway. I ain't stressing over that stuff.

I have heard that.. You can think you are doing to right thing and not have them pass through the machines when you drop them off but at some point they will go through thte machines.. at another P.O......

Hand canceling them is when they cancel out the stamp by hand.

I dropped off my invites and they canceled the stamp right in front of me. I got an invite back because of the wrong address and there was no other marks on the stamp other than the one from the post office (canceling out the stamp)

just curious as to why it would go through another machine at another PO? once it's hand cancelled it's done.


just like when you get it post marked it's done right then and there
