Kinda personal question -- but I need advice!!

ok -- I feel weird asking this -- but I feel like I know you all so I trust you !!
I have always have irregular periods-- maybe a few days to a week late is normal for me ... But this month I am over 3 weeks late. I have taken pregnancy tests - and they say neg. Also I have no symptoms -- when I was pregnant with Aidan -- I was sore and sick from day one! I have had ovarian cysts in the past -- I dont know what is going on -- has anyone had this happen -- where you dont get your period? My husband and I were going to start trying for a second soon -- Now I am woried ... Any advice?

Are you under a lot of stress? The more you stress about your period being late, the later it will come. Also, have you started a new diet? I have had a very irregular cycle in the past, and it seems as though those two things affect me the most. If you're really worried, make an appointment with your gyno. That's the only way I can ease my mind when my period is extremely late.

The only advice I have is to call & make an appt with your OB/Gyn. You can drive yourself crazy diagnosing yourself or getting non-professional opinions (no offense to the ever wise and helpful ladies of LIW ), and hopefully your doctor can clear up your worries.

How is Aidan? Getting big I bet. Is he a year old yet? If not, he must be close.

I have been under a little stress -- My husband may get relocated -- he is taking a new job-- but not that much stres... I am going to make an appt next week ! Thanks ladies.. It's probably nothing.. but it is a little freaky..LOL

Oh my -- Aidan turned one on June 28th ! He is walking and starting to climb - come to think of it -- thats probably my problem -- excessive worry now that I have a toddler ...LOL I have tons of new pics -- I just have to download them -- Thanks for asking !

There could be a number of reasons you are late: stress, nutrition, low bodyfat, or like me, hormonal stuff.

In the past I have had it happen a number of times, and it was always due to an overload of progesterone. Go to your doctor, and they will do bloodwork to see what's up. Sometimes you can get a shot of hormones to bring your period on, if that's what you need. I went on the pill and have stayed on in order to regulate my period.

Def. go get a check up and try not to worry

There are 2 OB residents on this boards. Look under the Newlyweb Thread getting to know you. I cannot remember their names right now. You might be able to FM them for some advice.
I would call the OB/GYN and make an appt. to discuss all of this.
