Letter of Cancellation??
Don't think the worst!!Me and FH have to write up a letter of cancellation for the Reception Hall and the Videographer since we are changing the wedding to what looks like the BAHAMAS!! It's over a 20k savings!! And I am SOOO THRILLED by this change. I think it's what I have wanted all along - but was too 'afraid to admit'. The people that are most important to us are the people that we are paying to fly down there.
I'm just looking to see what I need to write in the letter and if maybe anyone has any samples or templates that I could use to write mine. Thanks!!

Re: Letter of Cancellation??
I'M SO JEALOUS!!!! That's what I wanted all along....good luck!!!(I told FMIL on Sunday that all I wanted was to go on a trip somewhere 'exotic' (ie-tropical) and come home to say 'GUESS WHAT???' and then have a party....she said to me: well, had we known this, that would've been fine and you'd have a down payment for a house. GRRRRRRRRRRRR....instead of paying for a wedding, they would've given us the $$$ being spent to use on a house!!!!!! you have no idea how annoyed I am.)

Re: Letter of Cancellation??
I don't know if there's a template, but I know the letter has to say the date of the party, the date of the cancellation, names of everyone involved. Some people put the reason, but it's not necessary. These letters are usually fairly short, so don't stress about the wording! Are you getting your deposit back? I don't know if East Wind is in Nassau or Suffolk, but if it's Suffolk, they can legally only keep 100$- they must return your full deposit if you are cancelling within a reasonable time period of your signing the contract (I believe 3 months is standard- I'm not quite sure though, so don't quote me on that!)
