Lighting companies/DJS..even florists maybe

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between uplighting and color wash...I think I like the look of a color wash even more (if they are in fact different) but I want to be sure because most companies only seem to offer 'uplighting' and never speak about this color wash but my fh is a dj on the side and believes it might be different...I also thought in speaking to a lighting professional once that he said this.????

Pricing on both, especially color wash would be great. Thanks
