Re: My favorite DIY by far!!!
FOR ALL YOU WHO WANTED TO KNOW HOW I MADE THISSO I bought candles from Michaels.
In Microsoft word I just made the writing and I copied the heart from searching google images--- hearts lol
I then took a piece of regular printer paper and a piece of tissue paper (yes the ones you put in presents) and used scrapbooking tape. I put a little bit on the end on the printer paper and fastend the tissue paper to the reg paper. Dont put too much bc you have to take it off. This just helps the tissue paper have more support. Run it through the printer.
After your done pull the tissue paper off the printer paper. Dont worry if it tears. Then with sissors, cut around the wording. Doesnt have to be perfect and you'll see why. Then lay the cutout on the candle. Once you have it placed where you want it, take a piece of wax paper and wrap it around the candle. It is smart to make the wax paper bigger than the candle so it bunches in the back. It just serves as a handle for the support. Then take a hair dryer and heat the cutout. Be sure to more the heat around. The heat will actually start to melt the candle and tissue paper as it dissolves into the candle. You will notice the cutout will start to get shinny when that happens it is melted enough. Slowly lift the wax paper off the candle to see if the tissue paper is completely dissolved, if it is just rub the tissue paper over the top to smooth everything out.
Once, thats done just add ribbon and whatever else you want.
I know it sounds a lot more complicated than it is, but its soooo easy. I just googled it last night and then tried it today.
I also saw some chick you those rub on scrapbooking transfers. That look really easy but I couldnt find any with a good saying
Here are a couple different videos I looked at. HTH and some of you try it yourself bc I was really fun!
