name hyphenating

Hi ladies - I'm not married yet but getting very close. Has anyone here hyphenated their name and regret it?

My compromise with Fh was that I would hyphenate my last name to include his. But I'm seeing from a lot of people it can be quite a pain.

Any advice?

Re: name hyphenating

I use my hyphenated name socially, but I keep my maiden name legally, at work, and for my business. I have not changed it legally. I liked hyphenating, even legally since then I can really use either name.

I am hyphenated and I dont regret it at all. It actually made it easier since Bc I also have my maiden name it wasnt a huge rush to change it and people still now its me. My biggest obstacle is remembering.g to say both parts. But that's only Bc its hard to all of a sudden have a new name lol
