Need Advice about and invitation I got...

Okay I received my first invite today in my married name to a shower, however...I dont recognize the name. I feel silly calling to respond either way if I dont know who it's for and I dont want to call and ask who she is. What should I do? It could very well be an aquantaince that I just dont recognize the last name. Help!!! What should I do?

Yikes! Maybe ask your husband if its someone he knows.

Check with your FH first. Maybe it is someone in his family.

that is a toughy could it me someone form husbands family since they know your new last name? Did you show him or ask him? i would maybe do that first--good luck!

Check with friends, and also your mom - could be one of those family friends daughters or something like that.

I thought of that but there's no one that he's even close to at work that's not already married that he would give our address too. I'll still ask but I doubt it.

I did check with the inlaws and my family and no one has ever heard of it. Im wondering if it's from someone on the boards that I dont recognize the name and Im afraid to say because I dont want to blow the surprise. However, I only know one person on here with that first name I feel so dumb right now. I also checked with the last name of the people that sent it but no go. I've gotta call DH at work.

Figured it out!! I pulled up her registry listed on the invite and thank god I knew the groom.

good for you smart thinking! i was afraid that was going to happen to all of FH friends/family so my sis put a littlepic of us on the invites

Yeay! But why would they send something with your married name if you're not married yet?

We got married but are planning a big wedding with everyone there Only a hand full of people knew and I guess DH told them and didnt pass it on to me. MEN!!
