NWR: birth control pills

So i went to pick up my bc pills today and i have been on yasmin forever...and today they gave me the generic version. Is that ok?????

Yes, Kara16 is right. I have been taking the generic one for awhile now...just b/c it's cheaper and they always have it. You'll be fine! No worries! :)

Same thing with me! I was happy bc its the same thing but much cheaper! If you want to name brand you have to call the dr. and tell them to write it on the .

The only reason you are just getting it now is because they never had one for Yasmine before. My insurance comp. only covers the generic of yasmine now.

I shouhld find out if there is a generic for my pill. I'm on Loestrin 24 and it's not covered by my insurance company, I have to pay $50 a month for it!

Yes you should! It makes a big difference on your wallet but not on your body!

every person is different, some people gain weight, some dont...ive been on it for years and years before i even had my daughter, and never gained weight on it....every single person has a different reaction to any medication you take.

I also use Yasmin and got the generic brand last time I got new pills. IMO it's the same, but cheaper for sure!

no there isnt a generic yet. I was on it but switched to just loestrin because ididnt want to pay the extra $$$
