NWR: There was an accident right by my house

I'm really sorry I'm posting this here (NWR), but I feel really comfortable on the 05 Boards.

I'm really upset tonight. I was watching a movie and noticed some flashing lights outside. My FH and I went out to see what was going on. There was police tape and cars blocking off the block next to us. We found out a Pedestrian got hit by a car and died.

We could clearly see a sign with a #2 next to a blob covered in a white sheet or something- and we could see the red all over it. The car was all smashed in.

I said a prayer for the person and their family, and FH gave me lots of hugs, but I'm still upset about it. It's such a horrible way to go.

Thanks for listening (or reading). I just needed to get that out.

sorry to hear it. thats so sad. ive had two similiar type incidents.... my friends dad and mom were fighting so he left and went out to drink and he decided to walk home rather than drive and he got killed by a car. ironic. and another time i was waitessing and this woman came in all shaken up.. she was LITERALLY shaking... and she told me how 2 minutes earlier she saw a biker get hit and it was very graqphic so i wont go on... but i can really understand how youd be in a weird place right now. i hope it wasnt a kid

im sure youll hear more about the story tomorrow....

Thanks so much girls.

I feel a little better today. I've witnessed other things before too and it always makes me sad.

This was in Massapequa. FH and I were watching the news to see if it's on there, but we're leaving soon and I haven't seen anything yet. It could have been the driver and/or the pedestrian- I don't know. Because there's a bar nearby, but I'm curious to know.

If anyone hears anything, please let me know.

OMG! FH and I saw that accident last night! His parents live right on the corner on Broadway and we had to go around it to get to their house. That's so sad! We were wondering what happened. It was really dark so we couldnt see much, but I knew it had to be bad since they had those really really bright crime scene investigation lights shining on the road.....how horrible. There are WAY too many accidents on Broadway in Massapequa.....
