Ok, so I'm super excited

Tonight, the choir I sing with The Rainbow Chorale of Delaware sang the Star Spangled Banner at the Phillies/Nationals game in Philadelphia.

First of all - TOTALLY a lifelong dream being fulfilled. I LOVE baseball, and the opportunity to sing the national anthem at any MLB game is just huge for me. I got a little choked up while we were performing.

But secondly (and significantly more exciting) is that we were standing in front of the Nationals' dugout, and standing maybe 10 feet from me was Former Yankee Second Baseman ALFONSO SORIANO. Dude. Oh How Excited Was I??? I tried in vain to get his attention. I kinda wanted to wave at him, but I was afraid that I'd get carried off the field by security, so I just kind of gawked at him hoping he'd notice, but he didn't. Oh well. Still. It was great, and totally awesome.

Oh, and Soriano did his trademark Lead-off batter, first pitch Home Run move. I love when he starts off a game with a home run.
