OMG-MY Wedding Dress is in!
WHAT do I DO with it????I have at least 4 1/2 months till my first fitting??? They want me to pick it up within 5 days???

I have mine. I got a wedding garment bag & put downy sheets in it with the gown & store in a cool place. My fitting wont be til dec-jan

They make you pick it up? I got mine a few months before my first fitting - they let me come visit it to make sure it was the right one and they held it at the store.

WOW that was quick!!!! They dont keep it for you? Damn I hope my place keeps mine cause I dont have any room!But anyway, that is exciting!

do you have any family of friends whose house you can leave it at? A non-smoking environment?

oh I'm sorry. I'd ask some family or friends that you trust - pet free/smoke free. Do you have a dry cleaner or seamstress you trust that would store it for you for a few months?

Wow, I cant believe they wont hold it for you
I think I have seen at some dry cleaners, that they will put it in cold storage.

I know I couldn't believe that they wouldn't store your gown for you. After spending as much money as we have you'd think they'd at least store the dress for us.I also had a situation like this where the place I got my gown from was going to charge me to store my dress there. We were moving in a few weeks after the dress was ready and I live in a different state than our families so leaving it with someone else wasn't an option. As long as you have a good garment bag for it and you keep it stored somewhere that doesn't get direct sunlight you should be fine. Remember, when your fittings are done they'll press it for you before your big day!

I would keep at my house for you but I do not really have a cool place either take everything out of your jammed closet and put your dress in there all by itself(LOL) I really hope you can figure something out until then Davids Bridal shame on you

Mine hasn't come in yet-but it will come in in Jan/Feb and the store said they will hold it until my fitting as well.
