Online Love People.....

First I want to apologize for how dumb my Thread topic is...I didn't know how to word it.

I thought of all of you who have found love online. I met some girl at the airport on Thursday and she showed me her wedding picture and said that she found her husband on Match.com 3 years ago and they have been happily married ever since.

Just thought of you guys!!!!

Hey Stacy,

I met my husband online also.

We met on this polish website where all it consisted of was leaving your name, where you live and your email address.

The lists where so long. Somehow we both came across this site and entered in our information.

I scrolled threw the list of names to see who lived on LI and then who lived closest to Hampton Bays.

He lived in Smithtown and I emailed him and noticed he had a yahoo account. Since them we IM'ed each other for over a year. We both where dating someone at the time (me with my long term bf of 7 years) (he was only 7 months) and a month before we met in person we exchanged phone numbers.

We ended up meeting at Spatz in Hauppauge. My favorite club at that time back in '02.

After a ton of wasted dates, wasted emails.. I finally found my Lady. We met on Match.

I never thought I would until one night I said.. oh what the hell....

I had tto weed through a lot and not get discouraged. God knows how easy it was to get that way.. but it finally worked!

I met DH online 5 yrs ago. My GF told me she did it, she was like we both moved to new cities what do we have to loose?

DH responded to my Yahoo personals ad, talked via email for 2 weeks, then on the phone for another 2 weeks before we actually went out. At first, I was a little embarrassed at how we met but then I thought about how amazing it was to find each other out of all those other ads.

BTW....my GF married the guy she met online also. They have been married a little over 2 yrs now.

We are another online 'soon to be married' couple. We met on JDate in November 2002, started dating January 2003 and were engaged on April 1, 2004. Yes, as you can see from all the happy posters above, that it certainly is possible to find 'the one' online!

FH and I met online, but not on a matchmaking site. We both met playing the same online video game!!!

If any of your FH's play Ultima ONline, they will understand.. that's where we met. It was a coincidence that he happened to live the next town over, so we ended up getting together eventually, been inseparable since!!!

FH and I met on Jdate also! My friend who had been on it for about a year was bugging me to try it, so I put up a profile... I saw FH's profile, where he was wearing a sarong, and thought it was the funniest thing in the world so I emailed him... we both met exactly one week after we both put up our profiles, and within 3 days we had both taken off our profiles and within 3 months moved in together... I also have two friends who married someone from jdate and another two who are engaged!!

As many of you know , I met my Dh on Yahoo personals... best $30 I ever spent

Sometimes we're still not exactly sure how we hooked up, we think there must have been some computer 'cupid' that put us together.

On Yahoo they would send you a link to your 'matches' , but when they sent DH his 'matches' and I popped up I technically didn't fit into any of the criteria (amongst other things , we lived well over 50 miles apart ... DH specified he wanted someone closeby and it said we lived 5 miles apart... plus a lot of our interests were totally different and conflicting .I was a Yankee fan, he a Mets fans, etc..)

His first email to me was 'i think you are so cute, even for a YANKEE fan' Then he went on to trash Derek Jeter and say some other mean things about the Yankees... and DARED me to write him back...

What can I say, I loved him for trying

i met anthony in a chat room on aol. i liked his profile and responded and we chatting on line and on the phone for about 1 month and then we met and the rest is history. we are together for almost 4 years in april. married for almost 1
