picture locations

I was wondering if anyone knew some great places to take pics after the church. I am getting married at 3:30 pm on a Sat. with the cocktail hour at 7:30. The church is in Islip and the reception is at the Watermill in Smithtown. The problem so far is that the arboretums close at 5pm. Does anyone know of any pretty parks or other sites that are not well known? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

We're taking them at Planting Fields in Oyster Bay - kind of out of your way though.

THERES A PRETTY POND AREA OVER IN THE HEART OF ATONYBROOM ALOT OD BRIDES TAKES PICTURES THERE. I WANNA SAY ITS CALLED MILLS POND BUT I AM NOT 100% SURE. ITS ABOUT 10 15 MINS FROM WATERMILL

You could go to Blydenberg park (where we got engaged). The one we love to go to is on Veterans Highway in Hauppauge-I would go check them out and see if you like it there. If you want beaches-there is short beach and long beach on the Nissaquoge river (off of River Road).

We did ours at CW Post (a bit in for you, but you have time). We were in Lindenhurst & then went to Brookhaven & back to Lindy

So pretty there & free

We also had it to ourselves, NO one was there!

Hi there! I'm a Watermill Bride and getting married in Melville. We are going to Stony Brook Village. There is a beach behind the 3 Village Inn and there is a pond and a Village Green in front of the stores where I have seen many brides take their pictures.

we just had our engagement pictures done there. it's a great location. you get the green, the pond, the cute stores w/stone sidewalk AND across the street is the marina and beach. so there are lots of options.
