QOTD for Friday....Sense of Humor?

I think if we talk about funny, we'll be funny today....and keep the Friday peace.

Define what having a sense of humor means to you. Please try not to say what it means to NOT have a sense of humor. I'm interested in the positive thoughts!

Being able to laugh at and with yourself even in the worst situations. Finding the funny side of everything (not always good because sometimes what I find funny other people don't!!!

Being able to understand when someone was trying to be funny, even if they didn't succeed. And being able to laugh at themselves.

I think spontaneity/quick wit is some of the best humor. My BIL cracks me up with his comebacks... he's normally a very quiet person, but once in a while he'll come up with this one-liner that has me rolling!

Sort of like Chandler's humor on Friends, (and the Golden Girls humor for anyone who still watches the reruns) people who just say something quick & funny out of the blue makes me laugh the hardest.

I thought about my own question, and I think it also has alot to do with the ability to see what others may find funny in you...even though you may not find something you are doing funny!

to me, it means being able to laugh at yourself and also not taking everything so personally. This is often how I know someone is a true friend. We can have a sense of humor with each other and it just clicks. He / she can say 'Uh yeah what were you thinking when you dressed yourself this morning?'

And I can just say 'F-you with a smile and laugh!'

I think having a sense of humor means you can jokingly banter without taking it personally and you can laugh at your self.
