QOTD: What was the one time in your childhood or adolescence when you made your parent(s) the most angry?

I would say when I went on two dates with this guy...he was covered in tattoos (full sleeves and then some), had dread locks, piercings, etc. Mom minded all that stuff but she knew he wasn't a good guy either. At least I figured that out after only 2 dates!

When I moved out & into my cousin's apartment.... I think I was 14, maybe 15.

When I forged a note from my mother to get out of school early and got caught. The school called my mother and she covered for me but when I got home.... oh my G-d! She was pissed and my dad (who was divorced at the time from my mom) yelled at me for not going to him for the note (He was the softy who totally would have done it for me no questions asked!) That was so stupid!

Any time I got caught in a lie...although at 13 I told my dad 'Up Yours' and he slapped across the face

I would have to say when I dropped out of college. They were more disappointed than angry, but I know it hurt them both a lot.

Wow - when I was growing up when didn't I get them mad?? I was a bad bad kid.
I'll say when I came home drunk at 14, past my curfew and threw up in the foyer.

Never really did anything to them as a kid or teen... but when I was in college the FLIPPED OUT when I decided to pledge a sorority. They thought I was going to be brainwashed and tortured! My dad didn't talk to me for weeks and my mom cried and begged me not to do it! Crazy freaks!

Funny thing... it was one of the best decisions I ever made! (I would have never met my DH!)

hmmm there are to many to count. But one comes to mind. I went to boarding school for 2 years and I HATED it. So when I told my Dad that I didn't want to go back he got really angry. But I got my way.

When I moved in with an ex boyfriend of mine. I was 18 and they HATED HIM. Hated him beyond belief, and they had EVERY right to. He put me through hell. I can't believe my parents didn't have heart attacks. Needless to say, I lived with him for all of like a month before I couldn't stand my parents being mad at me anymore. But I stayed with the guy for another 2 years and it was the most abusive, twisted, unhealthy relationship ever. I broke my parents hearts those three years. Good thing they LOVE JT.

I was terrible at Algebra and the book we used had the answers in the back. My dad made me do all the homework and discuss it with him to make sure I understood how to do it.

Well, on a couple problems one night I got lazy and looked up the answers. When he asked me how I did the problem I lied and he caught me. I've never seen him so mad! I don't think I've lied to them since.

well, there were many occasions that i did stupid childish things but the one thing that stands out in my mind was when i moved in with my now DH after we got engaged. They are very catholic and were horrified. I feel bad about it now but we did get married

i had a brief fling with a girl from albany -- i was about 23, she was 30 with a 10 year old child

my parents were not pleased, luckily it didn't last long

when I came home so drunk that I fell as soon I as I walked in the door, taking out the Christmas tree, breaking all of the ornaments, then running to the bathroom to take out all of my mom's collector shells, leaving a trail of puke all the way up the stairs to my room, screaming and getting sick all night long, waking up, and having no recollection of what happened .... at all ... not knowing why she was even mad at me.

That or my dating a 24 year old escaped convict with a child when I was 16. (Hey, I didn't know any of the other stuff until much later!) My poor mom. The list could continue.
