Save the Date Questions...

Where did everyone get their Save the Dates? I'm debating over doing them. I was thinking of doing them only because my wedding is on a Sunday evening. Save the dates will give people a chance to make any arrangements they have to make in order to come.

FAVORLADY.COM

**edited to add** Although I TRIED assist my guests in alerting them of our wedding nice and early, I might as well have told them last week.

Out of 60 out of towners, only 9 booked a room. Out of 7 BMs, 6 are from out of town. Only 2 booked a room, and now the hotel is sold out and of course, they're all calling me like my name is Kesha Marriott.

My efforts went straight to hell. Hopefully your guests have more intelliegence than mine! Good luck!

Re: Save the Date Questions...

I made my own Save the Dates with paper, stamps and vellum from Stampin' Up. It was one full day of work (with the help of two friends and my FH), but a lot of fun. I think it is a cute idea. Everyone I sent one to comented on them and how nice it was to have the date in their calendar so far in advance. I sent them in February for a November wedding.

Re: Save the Date Questions...

i made mine also with an invitation package thing from Staples...a piece of velum tied to cardstock with a little ribbon. pretty easy to make on the computer...
a lot of brides on here make their own magnets - which i wish i would have thought of....that would have been so much cuter than mine....oh well.
i sent mine out in august for my april wedding.

Re: Save the Date Questions...

I got 2'x2' cards made up that say 'Save the date' with our names and the date. They look like gift tags and we attached a ribbon. I am putting it with the did a save the date I made. I used wedding stationary from Office Max with pink envelopes. They turned out great and the letters cost less than $10.
