Should I change my hair color?

I'm torn.

I was thinking of going brunette (though the last time I did that, the color only lasted for three weeks and it was supposed to be a permanent dye).

Then I was thinking that I should go lighter. Not necessarily dye it - eh.

See? I totally don't know what to do.

Or should I just leave it blonde and let the sun do the work that it does every summer?

Re: Should I change my hair color?

Red.

I don't know what you look like brunette. I'd need a pic to make an informed decision.

You are the first blond I've ever known who wanted to dye her hair darker.

Re: Should I change my hair color?

I did red once, when I was like 20.

My brother, 18 at the time, didn't see me until dinner during which he put his fork down and said, 'You look awful. Ewww. What did you do to your hair?'

I did look bad, I will admit.

I felt hot with the darker color. But I fear the growing out process. Oddly enough, my hair is getting lighter with age.

Re: Should I change my hair color?

I think you could look super hot with a rich brown.

This color (try to not get distracted by the boobage)

Re: Should I change my hair color?

I would never recommend red to anyone for reals. It's hard to get right and I can spot a bottled redhead from miles away.

Yeah, I could see where the growing out process could be strange!

Re: Should I change my hair color?

go for brown even though if I knew what you looked like I could make a much more informed decision....

I love color - can't wait to cut my own hair and color away!

Don't do red. been there done that spent $300 to get rid of it

Re: Should I change my hair color?

Shanna, this is kind of what I look like - I will totally take this down soon so don't quote

Suz, the boobage did distract me but I eventually made it up to the hair. That's the close to the brown that I did the first time.

Re: Should I change my hair color?

I'm shocked you're even putting those up. Bravo.

Do you want to change just to have a change? Or did you like the darkness the last time you did it?

Re: Should I change my hair color?

Baby steps. I'm taking them down before I leave for the day though.

It's more that I want a change. I'm going to keep my hair long, I'm going to keep the long layers - I kind of what to force myself to stop using my hair color to [in a tiny way] define myself.

Re: Should I change my hair color?

How about caramel highlights? Ease your way into a medium shade of brown.
