Shower Guest List Emergency -- Need Advice pronto

Location: Florence, Italy/Harrison House	Shower Guest List Emergency -- Need Advice pronto Ok, here are the basics: -- My shower is this Saturday (obviously not a surprise) -- I invited only closest friends, not every female invited to the wedding, because with the amount of family we have, it's over 50 people already! -- Once of the people who did not make the cut is my FH's business partner's wife -- I have only met FH's business partner's wife about 3 times -- I did bring this up to FH way at the beginning when I made the initial guest list and was cutting peeps, and I remember saying she won't know anyone... cause she won't! But, of course he doesn't remember. LOL Now apparantly, today FH biz partner is asking if I am having a shower, and is his wife going. FH feels awkward, since he has NOTHING to do with the shower, and just said yes Lori is having a shower. Maybe I am wrong, but I don't feel bad about this. I cut people from the list who I am FAR closer to, simply because our numbers were so high as it is. I would rather have my close buds there. FH now just asked me if I could invite her now -- did I mention the shower is this SATURDAY? and my mom has to give final #s to the restaurant this wed. I feel the best way to deal with this at this late date, if it comes up again, is for FH to direct his biz partner to me and explain that we have a HUUUUGE family, and I only invited a small amount of friends to the shower, it was not meant to offend, just logistically I could not invite everyone! Which is all true! WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK? TIA!!!

Ok, here are the basics:

-- My shower is this Saturday (obviously not a surprise)
-- I invited only closest friends, not every female invited to the wedding, because with the amount of family we have, it's over 50 people already!
-- Once of the people who did not make the cut is my FH's business partner's wife
-- I have only met FH's business partner's wife about 3 times

I think your FH should just say this to his partner:

i agree with you totally......just let them know that it's not that you hate her or don't want her there - it's just that you had to keep the list tight...and lots of people were cut.
tell her she can still give you a present though teasing!!!!!!!
