Spinoff to travel question...advice needed...My cousin is petrified of flying, but her husband isn't. He has been begging her to go to Vegas for the past year or so. Re: Spinoff to travel question...advise needed...That's a tough one. Does she ever intend to conquer her fear? IMO not flying really changes your life--they will be so limited in terms of travel. I would not want to totally limit myself, even though I do love DH very much--I can't imagine never seeing Europe or places that you must fly to. | |||

Re: Spinoff to travel question...advice needed...I think I would probably be pissed, but more so at myself than at DH. She has made a decision for herself, but that doens't give her the right to make decisions for him. I would never stand for DH going someplace with his friends if it was someplace I wanted us to go to together, but it sounds like your cousin has no intentions of going to Vegas. I don't think she should stop him. And maybe him going without her will make her realize that there's a lot more she'll be missing out on if she doesn't get over her fear of flying. I know they're married, but she can't expect her husband to give up his desires to travel.

A friends mom took one class and they actually took her on plane trip! Maybe your cousin should seriously look into this. There are a few sites online where she can look into this.
