STD's... what should I be including??

Okay.. so I have my STD magnets, a cute little slip that reads 'Invitation to follow' I am also including NYC brochures and maps and what not, bridal registry cards, hotel info.., all in a form of a newsletter.. anything else?? am I missing something or does anyone have any ideas on what else I should include, something cute? original?

Sounds like you are right on target with what you're including. I'm basically going the same route as you.
Do you have a website?
If so, you can also include a cute note to have them visit your site.

yeah, I want to include that too.. however the site isn't anything great lol I'm also including clippings about the hall (it's a historical landmark) in the newsletter.. =)

Personally, I would leave out the registry stuff but the rest sounds right.

you should not include any registry info in your STD package- it seems like you are asking for gifts. Include hotel/travel info for your out of town guests.

I also read somewhere that it is not etiquette to send out the registry information with the wedding invites. I know these are STD but its about the same as an invite just smaller.

If you want to follow proper etiquette registry info should never be sent to anyone with any invite. Today, most people find it acceptable in bridal shower invites. But it should be done thru word of mouth when a guest requests the information only.
Never send it in a wedding invite.
