I have to say thank GOD for this board and you ladies!!! I am so pissed and relieved right now. I went to the Bridal Suite of Bayshore tonight to look at BM dresses. While I was there, we were talking about bridal gowns, since they are one of 5 stores in the whole state that carry my gown. (I bought it elsewhere). Turns out, contrary to what my bridal salon told me, they said my dress CAN NOT be hemmed up 2 inches off the bottom or raised up from the waist!!! That the dress has to be custom made for my height by the manufacturer!!! Had I not found out about the hollow to hem measurement from other brides on this board, I would have gone ahead and let Lestan's order the dress in it's regular length (which was 3 inches too long for me!) and they would have ruined the dress in alterations trying to make it shorter!!! Thank God I had them take the measurement when I went in for my BM's last week!! I did think it was strange that they were trying to tell me I had 2 inches to play with on the bottom, when that is where the beading is!!! I also thought it was strange that they only took a bust and waist measurement when I got the dress!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE for those of you ordering dresses right now, make sure all of your measurements are taken in the beginning and know what can and can not be done to your dress!!!

I have to say thank GOD for this board and you ladies!!!
