The HappyLand Tribune #4
Looming shadows darken the city streets and have cast a shadow over Happy Land. The flickering Street lights, fad to black more often. What has brought this somber mood to the once very festive land? Some visitors to the town even hide behind the shadows of illusion to voice and goad on the uneasinessin the Land.
As the residents voiced their opionion in The Board, (the local tavern) what seemed to be evident is the PASSION FOR THE 05 Board. Some old timers, as they are often refereed to, want to see a more ‘bridal board’ some newcomers shout for a more ‘free’ flowing Board, with many topics included. Some new visitors feel like ‘outsiders’ when responses are slow. Who is right?? Could it be the upcoming 2005 is bring stresses upon the many once happy brides? The owners of the tavern remain quiet, as they only eject a rowdy member when it becomes offensive.
The Board was once requested by a handful of old timers, (ten or so) and due to the caring, inviting nature of these ones, the tavern is now boasts over 230+ strong, regular voices on bridal woes, mixed with the daily ' things' of life, i.e. Happy Birthdays. What seems to be missing, is that many that now frequent the tavern, bring a style of their own, that, like a patchwork quilt blanket, makes a beautiful picture if looked at as ONE.
As time speeds towards the ‘goodwill &peace to all ‘, I left the tavern feeling despondent at the turn of recent events, but hopeful that the voices find peace & harmony within the home they created
THE BOARDS.

Letter to the editor:Dear Editor:
I was beginning to worry my subscription had ended since its been a while that I've seen the tribune. My heart aches LP. As an old timer rocking in my chair I mutter miserably to myself, 'I miss the good old days'. But I stay for one reason alone. I have made such good friends on this website and I refuse to leave them. Im here until the bitter end.........or until they make this the 07 board!!!!

Re: The HappyLand Tribune #4
As always, the HappyLand Tribune speaks volumes of truth. Unfortunately this volume made me a little sad. I remember after the first GTG how we thought the board was so alive! That was nothing compared to all the things we talk about now. But yes, the good old days were... well, good. This volume made me a little sad.

I missed my HappyLand Tribute...glad to see it back.I think there is a lot of truth to the stresses of 2005 being so close. Seems like we had more time just a few months ago...can you believe we will all be getting married very soon?!

i have to ditto this... and what D&D wrote about you Always knowing the right thing to say.
hopefully this was all just a passing storm. it seems like this happened just a month ago... i was pondering the theory that, as women cohabitate and take on the same 'cycle' is there a possiblity that the same thing holds true for cohabitation in the cyber world?
love to you, LP, and the rest of the 05ers. let's work towards making the next edition of the Tribune one thats filled with and most importantly,
