Ugh, I feel like such an @ss

So, FH and I got into a BIG fight on Xmas (figures).
I invited my young cousin to be a part of the wedding, but FH and I hardly even know her.
I was just trying to keep everyone happy.
WELL, FH waits until Xmas to tell me that he wanted his neice to be the only FG, and that he feels like me and my mom are planning this whole thing without him, with no regard for what he wants.
It IS his wedding, too- but you think maybe he should have expressed these thoughts BEFORE I asked my cousin to be the RB?!?!?!?!?!?
Now, her dress is already bought (on line), and now I feel like s***, because I think he's right.
I was just trying to keep everyone else happy, forgetting that it is OUR day!
Now it's tyoo late, I don't know what to do!
Anyone have any suggestions as to how I can maybe 'adjust' her role in the wedding?

hmmmm, It is a dilema but why is your FH saying he wants his niece to be the 'only' FG? You can have 2 FG and this way, everyone will be happy. Just a thought, good luck

I know, it sounds weird, it's just that we are both so close to his neice, and we don't even see my cousin more than maybe 1X a year.
I just feel awful that I was trying to make everyone else happy, instead of him.
It's not that big a deal, right? I said yes to my cousin, because I think little girls are the BEST! And, the more the merrier!
Ugh, I just feel awful about it.

Can you have one of the girls be a Junior BM instead of a FG. Then you will have one FG.
Sometimes I think we forget that it is their wedding too. I find myself sometimes saying 'My wedding' instead of 'Our wedding'.

GO talk to him and think of a solution. TO tell you the truth I don't think it is the fact that there will be two FG. I think it has more to do, with him not being included in decision making.

I think you're right. I LOVE this idea of the one being a Jr. BM. But we already ordered her dress, pic below, it is very FG-ish. Do you think it would be awful for me to ask my Aunt to return it?

i agree, i've seen pics with some having as many as 4 FG's. talk to him about it now that you're both calmer.
