We are broke the next 2 weeks and I'm feeling guilty about getting my hair colored today...

I'm in the same boat (sort of) So, I haven't made the appoitment. Why don't you just talk it over w/ FH see what he says.

Personally, I do my own color because I'm cheap
But talk it over with Jim and see what he says. Are you broke as in, 'I have SOME money and it wouldn't kill me to spend it, just bring us down to a low' or are you broke as in 'This is really it, no more money after I get my hair colored.' ? because if it's the first, personally, I would do it. We've gotten through two weeks on like 60 bucks in the past All in the name of a good outfit for me

(Which we do)After that, it'll be peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch for the next 2 weeks

See? You have PB&J, so I say GO! As long as you have money for our night out, then I say go for it (leave it to me to be selfish!) Well, I feel your pain though because I have not gotten a paycheck since December 16, and I will not be getting one for another 2 weeks
We only get paid once a month. Luckily I have private lessons that I teach, but still, not much dough.

It's so funny that you posted this. I have been putting off getting my hair colored since we got engaged in August. My hair is now a mess. It is just so expensive and I feel so bad to spend the money. I wish I could do it myself and I would save $150
I decided to make an apt though for two weeks. Sometimes you have to give in and splurge a little bit. We have enough stress in our lives.

I just got mine done today b/c I couldnt take it any more. I havent had it done since Oct. My roots where down to me ears. i say go for it.

i am in the same boat. money is super-tight right now (my fault since i quit my job to go back to school FT). i have such bad roots it's not even funny
i am thinking about buying an at-home kit with my natural color and getting rid of the whole highlight thing. but i will miss them

Well, I got it done and I feel so much better! It's pretty dark, I had her do it back to my natural color, which is a medium brown, with some chunky blonde highlights. It's different, but I like it and at least those horrible roots are gone!!Thanks for all the input ladies
