Westbury Manor wedding on 2/24/01....
....the hall was beautiful. My friend was kind of upset that she couldn't take pictures in all of the rooms. I guess they had too many weddings going on at once. The maitre 'd gave her 10 minutes to take pictures in one of the other rooms. Her room was The Hill and it fit max 140, but she had 110 and we were squished! When they came out with the Viennesse table there was no walking room around the table. Any questions just ask. We missed the cocktail hour because we were running late and the directions threw us off. I had the Chicken Verde - it's with asparagus and mozzerella...very good.

I'm getting married there on the 16th- Do tell! How was the rest of menu? and the cake? Is the hill room upstairs? That room seems really small for anything over 110. If you don't want to clog up the board, you can e-mail me at [email protected] Thanks!

The Hill room was upstairs on the left side. She had to gaurantee 100 people which was close to what she was expecting. The hall made her have 9 tables so she had to do the table cards over again. She was annoyed because they made her squish everyone together and they told her the room fits up to 140 - that's a joke. The room would have been perfect for a wedding of 70 maybe. Make sure you get your time to take photos in all the rooms that you like. She said that she couldn't get into them to take pictures and she really wanted ones by thee piano and someother room. The menu choice was Chicken Verdi or Verde, Salmon, and Filet Mignon. All were good I guess because there were nothing left on anyones plate except for the little vegetable thing on the side...couldn't even tell you what was in it. Oh and up stairs for that room, there was only ONE bathroom stall and two sinks. It was tiny. Women were there putting on their makeup and I had to ask them to move to that I could wash my hands!!! The Vienesse table was huge. They had a lot. The wedding cake was all dark inside. I don't know if the filling was just chocolate or mousse. I'm from Queens and we got lost going to the hall. It said to take the LIE to 39 south. So when you here south you are looking for an exit that says south. Well there was none!! The next exit was 40 and we had to turn around from there to go to the hall. It is so dark over there that we couldn't read any of the street signs, so we didn't know what street we were on!!! We had to stop at the gas station on the corner from the hall. When we finally got to the enterance it was beautiful! The snow still covered everything and all the light around the grounds, just beautiful. We did leave ther hungry because we missed cocktail hour and I didn't want to stuff myself with cakes, etc. Is the downstairs area bigger?

I am getting married there too, but I have heard nothing but good things about it. Every hall is going to have good and bad weddings I will keep my fingers crossed for you and us so that our weddings aren't bad. Let me know how your wedding goes please because I'm not getting married until May

When we first visited, they wanted us to guarantee 130 for the next biggest room (the garden room by the fountain), because they said it held up to 180. We talked them down to 110. When we just went to set up the menu, we were told that the room won't seat more than 154. Good thing we were planning on 130 anyway. I'm glad to hear that it looked nice. I was (am) a little worried about a March wedding, but our reception is all after nightfall- so the lights should be pretty. As for directions, we didn't trust their cards & made our own. I hope no one gets lost. In trying to keep costs down, I don't think we're having a Viennese table, just int'l coffees. I hope we don't have the same space problems. Thanks for the review!

The garden room definitely DOES NOT hold more than 154 people. I had it maxed out at about that amount.

My sister was married there last summer, and we were in the hill room. It was a small wedding - about 80 people, but the room was a perfect size. Everything was really nice there - if you`re able to take pictures outside it`s absolutely beautiful. Even inside, pictures would be really nice. The food, cake and everything else was fine. Her only complaint was that she was told we could use the cocktail room for the entire event (the room with the terrace upstairs) and after the reception started, another party had started in the other room. And, not only was it another party, but a casual one with everyone in jeans and shorts. Other than that, it was perfect!

It was about 5 years ago(I'm planning #2 now), but the whole party was fabulous!!! As I said we maxed out the room with about 154 people. There wasn't a lot of room between the tables, but no one complained. Actually, just about everyone called afterwards to say how great it was!!! We had the ceremony outside and the cocktail hour was in the area closest to Jericho Turnpike-both great. I was so happy with the Scotto Bros., that I booked the Fox Hollow for my wedding this July.Welcome New Vendors
