Anyone been to or have pics saved of winter themed weddings ??Were thinking about switching from fall to winter themes b/c of the time of year (day after thanksgiving) but need some ideas
Also, how can i work Crest Hollows color scheme (gold fixtures and burgundy carpeting) into a winter theme??

Re: winter theme wedding
Anti:Gold and burgundy seem like they would work really well with traditional winter colors of greens and reds and well, burgundy. You could do winter favors -- X-mas ornaments and I guess they might have some of the holiday decor already up -- that is always fstive and beautiful.

Re: winter theme wedding
I'm sure there are winter brides. I like the idea of a theme wedding. If you do winter, I would definately give an ornament as a favor. Either wedding bells, or a dove, or heart of some sort. And you could do ivory, gold, and burgandy as a color scheme. I bet if you search for flowers, you could come up with some really nice pics.Good Luck!

Re: winter theme wedding
I'm a winter bride! My hall will be decorated for the holidays (tree, figurines, wreaths, etc, etc ....) ... My girls dresses are Euro-wine (deep burgendy) by Bill Levkoff ...
I hope to include winter-themed ice sculptures for the cocktail hour.
My flowers will be deep burgendy, dark purples, fushia's, berries and dark greenery, kind of like this
I'm contemplating giving my MOH and flowergirls muff's made from real flowers instead of a bouquet, like this but all white
I am doing a donation for my favor but am hoping to find inexpensive snowflake ornaments to attach to the scrolls to put on everyone's plate.

Re: winter theme wedding
Seeing that bird cage card box just gave me a cute idea for a winter wedding card box - a 'gingerbread house' done up in the wedding colors.

Re: winter theme wedding
I am getting married at Crest Hollow. I have decided on blue dispite the colors of the rooms. I would definitly do white table cloths, try to encorporate the ice blue in the center pieces because they are not really close to the carpet. Christimas ordaments are always good as gifts. What room are you in?
