your hair story..ETA: how does your man love your hair?

do you have long/short/medium hair.

do you wish you had long/short/medium but are afraid to try something new? i know hair grows back, but im thinking of a new look (again) and i want to go shorter but i dont even know if it will be flattering on me. anyone? same issues?

My hair is currently shoulder length. It has been short, long, and everywhere in the middle. It's curly, but not curly enough and really thin. I think i'm growing it out again and considering getting highlights....

There's not much I can do with my hair b/c it's just kind of 'there', but I always find it exciting to do something drastic like chopping it off. Like you said, it grows back!

i have dirty blond hair, that it always pretty much shoulder length, but it is also curly, so i can never really tell how long or short it really is. it is also really thing (thanks to mom and grandma) and so i am really self conscious of that. i have always wanted to pull a felicity and cut it all off but i have always loved really long, lower back length...if only it grew faster!

I just cut mine all off! I used to cut it a lot when I was in college - I was totally of the mindset that it would grow back. But it's pretty much been long or longer for the past 5 years...may have something to do with my DH liking it long, but I just haven't known what to do with it.

for the past few weeks I've been itching to cut it and then I found a great pic, so I brought it to a shop and the guy did a great job. I was a little concerned because I hadn't gotten my hair cut here in England since I've been (the person I've been going to since I was 12 is very flattered that I fly 4000 miles to have my hair cut by her! )

My hair is thin and straight, but I have a lot of it. I like the new cut, and miraculously, so does my husband! He keeps kissing the back of my neck and ruffling the back of my hair

I have tight spiral curls and have, for the most part, not liked it. I used to always get it blown out straight until recently. I even considered the japanese straightening! Now that it's really long, I am liking it curly cause it falls better. When it rains or days like today, its a different story. I am a frizz head!

yeah, i think im going ot go laittle shorter this time...and then work it from there. get used to it gradually. isnt it amazing how much hair affects us?!

my hair is currently fairly long and i honestly have no idea what i want to do with it. i have always wanted my hair curly but its sadly stick straight so i was even thinking of getting one of the newer types of waves or perms out there but i dye it red so i would be afraid to do both so im stuck in a hair rut right now lol

I've gone from short to long, long to short. I have past shoulder length hair now. I grew it out for the wedding but I'm thinking of cutting it off because I just can't take dealing with it in the morning (I'm a get up and go type of gal)

My hair is med/long. I am tempted to chop it again because it gets annoying. Also my hair is wavy I would love it to be curly (like Minnie Driver) I was contemplating get a bodywave but I didn't want to look like I was in a time warp!!

my hair is long and very thick... it's pretty unmanageable on a daily basis since I don't like to take time drying it ever day for work BUT when I do do it, I love how it looks so for that reason alone, I will NOT cut it! LOL

besides, FH is extremely partial to my hair being long . . .

My hair is pretty long (mid-back, I guess) and curly. I would love to cut it and have that Japanese reconditioning thing done. Just afraid that it would either kill my hair or my wallet.

I was born was dark and thick hair..When I was little all I wanted was loooong hair!

My hair is pretty long now with blonde highlights!

I used to have the whole 'Rachel' do back in the day! I loved it! But then I got sick of it..it was a b&&ch to grow out!

My FI loves my hair long. I don't think it ever be shorter than shoulder length!:

I have hair that is a little longer than chin length, curly. MY man loves it. I'm growing it longer forthe wedding though.

My hair is like SJP's, but brown.


I wish I could do something different with it, but I'm too lazy to straighten it, and I'm too chicken to cut it short! I'm thinking of coloring it, but as for how I should change the style, I'm clueless.

DH likes it the way that it is anyway.....

My hair is long, dark brown. it is curly but not uniform. Around the head and underneath is really curly, while the top of the back is more live wavy friz. For that reason I rarely wear it curly (since it is not uniform). I blowdry it straight almost every day. Since my hair is so think I have to keep it long. When it is short it looks Triangular Long keeps it weighed down. It has been all one length for years until last year I got long layers and I love the layers. Ray likes my hair Curly

i have curly hair and have been straightening it for about 7 or 8 years straight! i should wear it curly sometimes, but it only looks ok when its long. you know, the 'big' factor!

I would love to cut my hair short and do the Mandi Moore thing. But I also would love to go blonde if I keep it long. Dale of course loves it long and does not want me to cut it.

I have problematic hair. Its about 2 inches past my shoulders and wont go out unless its blown out straight.

Its got really tight curls and shrinks up and looks insane so I have no choice. I would love it to grow really long and see how the curls will fall.
Humid days and I donot get along


My DH loves my hair curlytoo but its just not happening. I chickended out of doing the japanese straightening thing 2x b/c I am afraid it will be too flat on my head and like a little volume.

On the flip side the constant blow drying keeps my arms in shape ( sort of)

My hair's a couple inches past my shoulders and it's very curly. I rarely wear it down and if I do, I usually straighten it. DH actually likes my hair curly, but it's such a pain in the butt to deal with when it's curly...
