when students get TOO comfortable

DH is a professor, and he started teaching yesterday. He's been working all summer though with a couple of students on side projects. One is this fiesty young lady who likes to joke around with DH and another new professor (Note: this is not going to turn into a scandalous story). Anyway, this student came into the psychology office yesterday when DH and his colleague were there, and she said 'there's my favorite professor!' The two guys joked back and said 'which one are you referring to?' and were egging her on to pick a favorite. She pointed to DH and said 'Well...you're my favorite professor with a receding hairline!'



DH has been in hair denial since I've met him and these past few months he just STARTED to open up about going bald. I almost peed in my pants when DH told me this story. The student apparently apologized after she saw his reaction and sent him two apology e-mails. He told her it was fine but not to say things like that to professors because you never know how they'll react.

But holy cow!!!
