40th Anniversary

Was just cruising through Celia's thread about her parent's upcoming 50th Anniversary (congratulations to them!) and it just dawned on me that my parents are celebrating 40 years in June!

What should I do??? They are going to Italy in September to celebrate but I would like to celebrate their anniversary as a family!

Thoughts?!

Maybe a surprise dinner somewhere with close friends and family?! Oh boy...let the planning begin!

ETA - additional ideas; Maybe a weekend in Montauk as a family??

Every summer my family and my aunt/uncle/cousins rent a beachhouse in delaware...maybe do something special out there? It is during July though...

I like the idea of a surprise party of a weekend away together as famiy ( Montauk sounds perfect, it will be so gorgeous at that time of year)

i threw a surprise party for my parents 35th! it was wonderful and they were soooo appreciative. it is rare that all their fam AND FRIENDS are in the same place at the same time.
