Album question

Ok so we have a 40 page album which my photographer said would be about 80-100 pictures.

What kind of photos did you ladies include in your album? And what percentage of each do you think you included? Did you put mostly you and DH...mostly family shots...or whatever else? No clue where to even start.

The way I did mine was I tried to tell a story of the day through the pictures.

I put a few of me getting ready, a few of DH, the reveal, photos on the dock ( I added a bunch in this section ), then key points of the ceremony, family photos, CH, etc...

I did mine through shutterfly.com, and had about 105 pictures.

The story makes sense! Now that I think of it...I don't have one photo from CH since the photographers were outside with us.

No pro pics yet, but this is definitely on my mind.

I'm thinking of breaking it down into:
getting ready,
church,
any family/bridal party portraits,
reception hall - including first dance, speeches, bride/father and groom/mother dances if done, cake cutting, bridal bouquet/garter toss if done, and any fun party shots in general.

In terms of how many, I guess it would depend on the number of photos in each category I really liked. There may be more of one you like than another, so I would probably go by that.

Also, I don't know if you're planning on doing parent albums, but I am, so I plan on doing my album how I want it, not necessarily trying to please the parents'. For example, I'm not going to worry about having the same number of pictures for each side of the family, etc. My album will be how I want and then I'll make their albums to their liking.

im losing my mind! i have over 2000 pics to choose. lol i thought it be semi easy and yesterday i tried writing some of the ones i wanted down and i want over 250

so now i will take those 250, and narrow those down.:(

basically my album starts with a pic of my invitation and like my flowers, the outside of my house, which was decorated and flows into pics of my dress and me getting ready with hair & makeup.
then with my mom helping me get dressed and some pics of me at my house and then pics with my parents, sister and then BM's and FG.
Then pics of DH at the church withthe guys and then ceremony pics. Then pics of us by ourselves at the church followed by pics of just DH and i (a bunch of these, largest % of pics are just of DH & I) and then pics of the RH and people partying... we had about 120 pics and i believe they were on 45-48 pages. I haven't gotten the album back yet

I'm making mine on Kodak Gallery.com I didn't put any getting ready pictures. I put pictures starting with the beginning of the day (bridal party at my house) and I'm just adding more in time order. I figured that is the best way to tell the story. I put in a lot of the bridal party, mostly formal pictures because they look so nice and some photo journalistic ones (but not too many). Still working on it and I may even make 2 because it's so cheap to make the albums on this website.
