My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding? It's kind of sad. Anybody watching? Was there a 2010 bride that was a gypsy, by any chance? I thought maybe there was . . . Of course, I'm sure Gypsy's in the US might be different than those in the UK and EU. Thoughts on this? It's really like nothing else I've seen before!

ETA: it's really interesting. I had heard of gypsies before, but not Irish Travellers.

I just started watching an episode....it's my first so I don't really have an opinion yet....I feel bad for this one girl who has a job and has to quit b/c she's getting married.....

I've watched it, and I remember this one bride who approached it most realistically, and she was sad about all the changes it would mean and how she didn't really know her husband that well. Well, anyway, she ended up getting pregnant and they divorced, but her family took her back.

I watched one show but it wasn't really about a wedding...it was about how the government was tearing down the trailers they lived in. They talked a little about a wedding and a communion and how it takes peoples minds off of it. But it was so sad to watch this little boy watch his home be torn down.
