Anyone been waxed at Bliss?

Is it really virtually painless? Tell the truth! Lauren and I need details!

Re: Anyone been waxed at Bliss?

Someone must have gotten waxed here!! Our appointments are at 5:15 and needless to say both of us are quite nervous about this.

Re: Anyone been waxed at Bliss?

Nope...sorry

But I did use Adelina's rec and got sugared at Shobha!

Even though it irritated me more than hard wax, it hurt less and lasted about a week longer

Re: Anyone been waxed at Bliss?

Shobha was awesome. Okay, as awesome as a stranger waxing your goodies at 11am in the morning can be I did feel as if I was losing my virginity all over again, but it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I didn't even take an advil or anything before hand which I heard you're suppose to do and I survived.

Totally TMI, but the part that hurt like a BIIIIII*CH, was when she threaded out any remaining hairs that were left over. OMG. Totally would not recommend that.

Re: Anyone been waxed at Bliss?

I got waxed at Bliss before. Waxing is never painless. It wasn't BAD there but wasn't painless.

I hope so too - I'm cringing just thinking about it!

But the actual waxing part really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm a cry baby and I ended up having a normal conversation w/ the lady during the entire time. lol

Re: Anyone been waxed at Bliss?

My friend got my a Bliss DIY wax kit for my bridal shower.... still havent worked up the nerve to use it

But honestly, I have heard that you have a better experience there than anywhere else. Tell the person that you're super nervous and to be as gentle as humanly possible... when rippings hairs out of your hoo-ha!

And def take advil before - good luck

Re: Anyone been waxed at Bliss?

I think it also helped that I went in that morning only to get my eyebrows threaded, and did not expect anyone to be saying good morning to my lady friend. Just try not to think about it...I know easier said than done. Oh, and whatever you do, whether your legs are up high spread out or to the side, try to keep them calm, that really helped.
I also kept apologizing to the lady that she had to look at my thing that early in the morning

Re: Anyone been waxed at Bliss?

PHEW!!!! That really was not bad! The wax is amazing and although there were some cringe worthy moments it was over in less than 20 minutes!! Waiting for Jeanmarie now to hear how her experience went!
