book club confession

I don't love Bossypants That is why I have read 2 books in between starting BP and now. I'm not that far in...I'll have to check and update. I have laughed a bunch but I'm just not that into it yet for some reason? If we forge forward as a book club I'll totally finish it. Am I total weirdo for not digging it?!

Re: book club confession

I guess it's what you're into. Personally, I'm a huge fan of 30 Rock and SNL so hearing about the behind the scenes stories is fascinating to me. And her story about her honeymoon on the cruise had my dying!

ETA: There have been SEVERAL books that people rave about and I'm just meh. The Road by Cormac McCarthy? Haaaaaaaaaated it. By the end, I wished they were all just dead, but DH loved it. Different strokes, different folks!

Confession #2 - I've never watched a full episode on 30 Rock besides the one time I watched it on a plane without headphones.

Don't get me wrong - she cracks me up! But I think it is a little out of context for me considering I don't watch snl or 30 rock. I do indeed dig funny HM stories and I will eventually finish the book!

Ahhh, see, that's probably why. I guess I felt a little like that when I read Chelsea Handler's books- a little out of my element since I never really watched her show. But, I grew to love her... and her crazy friends and stories.

You should give 30 Rock a shot though- if for no other reason than Alec Baldwin. He's hysterical.
